Properties:

2. Physical State:

3. Structure:

• They have a straight-chain structure with an alcohol group (-OH) at the terminal carbon. Some fatty alcohols are unsaturated or branched.

Naming:

• Fatty alcohols are typically named based on the number of carbon atoms in the molecule. For example:

• A "C12 alcohol" refers to Dodecanol, an alcohol with 12 carbon atoms.

This naming system makes it easier to identify and categorize fatty alcohols for different applications.
